To help teach our young members about the brutality that Jesus endured to save us from our sins, we took a trip to the LampLight Theatre in Kingsport, TN. If you haven't been to a play before, we highly recommend it! The cast is wonderful and the plays are always spectacular. The kids enjoyed watching the play and learned a tremendous amount of what Jesus did throughout his final days on earth and how he was treated.
Our youth group prepared a special agape dinner for the congregation to show their appreciation and love for the individuals of the church.
Agape is one of four types of love, Storge (empathy) Philia (Friend) Eros (Romantic) and Agape (Unconditional). Agape is typically regarded as the highest form of Christian love, as well as the type of love has for his children in Christ. This is the type of love the children showed to the rest of the congregation as they helped prepare and serve the meal.
